The Metal Dome Contact Silicone Rubber Keypad combines silicone rubber for the keypad’s outer layer with metal dome contacts for tactile feedback and electrical conductivity. When a finger applies pressure to the soft switch, The metal dome deforms, causing contact with a metal dome. The dome collapses, establishing contact with the underlying circuit board, thereby completing an electrical pathway to execute the operation. Simultaneously, the user experiences tactile feedback known as a ‘click.’ Subsequently, the metal dome swiftly rebounds to its original position, restoring the initial state of the switch.
The unparalleled tactile feedback enhances comfort during operation and provides confirmation of key success, thereby enhancing product usability. - Size Range: Typically 5mm to 13mm.
- Force Range: Up to 6,000 grams force.
- Features: Have legs for mounting directly on circuit boards without adhesive, suitable for high-temperature applications.
2.Circular Metal Domes:
- Application: Low-profile switches under membrane overlays.
- Diameter Range: 3mm to 20mm.
- Force Range: Usually 100-600 grams force.
