A Metal Dome Rubber Keypad combines a silicone rubber keypad with metal dome switches underneath each key. The keypad is made from silicone rubber, beneath each key on the silicone rubber keypad, there is a metal dome switch. These dome switches are typically made from stainless steel or other metals and are designed to collapse when the key is pressed, the center point of the metal dome is concave and contacts the line on the PCB to form a loop, When the current pass, the membrane keypad work normally, making electrical contact to the user.
