The Process Of Making A Silicone Keyboard Is As Follows:
Step 1: Finish Design
The design of the legends (characters, symbols) that will appear on each key is created by CAD.
Step 2:Creation Of Screen
Screens are prepared by coating a mesh screen with a photosensitive emulsion. The designed legends is then transferred onto the screen using a process that involves exposing the emulsion to UV light through a film positive of the designed legends.
Step 3: Printing Process
The prepared screen is mounted onto a printing press. Ink is applied onto the screen and a squeegee is used to push the ink through the mesh onto the keypad keys. The ink passes through the unblocked areas of the mesh, transferring the design onto the silicone rubber keys.
Step 4: Curing
After printing, the ink is typically cured using heat or UV light to ensure it adheres well to the surface of the keys and achieves durability.
Step 5: Quality Inspection
The silicone rubber printed keys undergo inspection to ensure that the legends are clear, aligned correctly, and free from defects.
