A Wide Range of Silicone Rubber Keyboards
Roc Keypad has been producing rubber keyboard designs for over 20 years. Our silicone keypads are widely used in test instruments, chip and pin equipment, hospital call alarms, fire alarm panels and many other electronic control systems.
Rubber keyboards are usually produced by molding silicone rubber. This process allows us to mold angled mesh areas that control the tactile feel of the buttons and incorporate conductive carbon contacts into the finished keyboard molding.
Due to its tactile properties, wide range of design options, and relatively low cost, rubber keyboards remain the most popular method of human-computer interface. Rubber keyboards can be molded to meet the following requirements.
- Keyboards can be molded with conductive contacts for operation with the PCB
- The color of the silicone keyboard can be matched to RAL or Pantone reference colors
- Keyboards can be molded in a variety of colors and even translucent grades
- Keyboard operating temperature is -40 to +190 degrees Celsius
- Keyboards can be molded with ratings to UL 94 HB, V1 and V0 standards
- Keyboards can be molded using FDA-approved or even USP Class IV silicone
- Keyboards can be molded with antimicrobial additives added to silicone
- If desired, the keyboard can be made of luminous and anti-static silicone
